Description
Cecather Heating Insulation® XPS 5 mm is a thermal insulator designed to improve the performance of electric underfloor heating systems and provide a stable base under laminate and vinyl flooring.
It is manufactured in extruded polystyrene (XPS) through a thermoforming process and features PET film reinforcement, which improves its mechanical strength and dimensional stability during installation and daily use.
Thanks to its thickness of 5mm, its thermal resistance of 0.18 m²K/W and its thermal conductivity of 0.029–0.034 W/(m·K), It helps to optimize floor insulation, promoting efficient heat distribution and contributing to the thermal comfort of the room.
Furthermore, the insulation allows compensate for irregularities of up to 4.7 mm, supports a compressive strength ≥ 57 kPa, a permanent static load ≥ 3 kPa and one resistance to dynamic load exceeding 100,000 cycles, which makes it a suitable solution for long-lasting installations under pavement.
In terms of acoustic performance, it offers a 20 dB ±5% impact noise reduction and a Acoustic insulation up to 10% ±5%, improving comfort in everyday use.
Each package includes 7 m² of insulation, with a length of 7 m and a width of 1 m, in a practical format to facilitate handling and installation.
