A question that our clients sometimes ask us.
We do not recommend installing radiant foil under fixed furniture in direct contact with the floor, such as divan beds, wardrobes or kitchen furniture.
We'll explain it with a simple example….
HEAT CANNOT BE TRANSFERRED TO THE ENVIRONMENT PROPERLY
If the furniture is in direct contact with the floor, the heat gets trapped and is not distributed properly.
IT DOES NOT PROVIDE COMFORT
Under a divan bed or other piece of furniture, heat is not distributed efficiently. This reduces efficiency and wastes usable space.
IT CAN CAUSE PROBLEMS
Excessive temperature buildup in these areas can cause failures or reduce the system's lifespan.
WHAT IF THE BED HAS LEGS?
If there is space underneath the bed, radiant foil could be installed (especially if it is necessary to increase the heating surface).
WHERE SHOULD IT BE INSTALLED?
In areas free of furniture.
Radiant foil is installed in passageways, living areas, areas of regular use... in short, where daily life takes place.
This way we will achieve maximum comfort with the greatest efficiency.
