heating for animals

15/07/2021

Build a shelter for the autumn-winter season

When the heavy fall rains or winter cold sets in, it's important for your dog to have a place to shelter. It is then when to put a comfortable bed indoors and out of drafts and that our furry will thank us, because it allows him to rest calmly when it starts to rain or it is too cold and it will protect him from the wind.

It is important that there is a space between the bed and the ground, in this way we will isolate the dog from the humidity of the ground, for this it is convenient to put the bed on a pallet or a wooden platform to avoid direct contact with the ground. It is important to remove any moisture and create a dry environment that we can achieve with just a few Cecather electric radiant sheets.

Calefacción para animales

If you build a wooden shelter for your dog, try to isolate it correctly and for this we also offer you the possibility of acquiring our system CecatherPluss rigid insulation, ideal for its thermal behavior and small thickness (6 mm.)

“Tell me how you are with animals and I will tell you what kind of person you are.”
J. Manuel Serrano Marquez.

We advise you so that you can provide your animals with the best thermal comfort they deserve.

Types of electric underfloor heating

14/07/2021

Tipos de suelos radiantes eléctricos

Within the electric radiant floor systems that are commercialized in the market, there are different technologies that differ from each other due to their technical characteristics and their operation. In this article we will explain what types of electric underfloor heating exist and we will focus on describing the operation and applications of the underfloor heating in particular.

There are several systems that we can consider as electric underfloor heating:

Cable floor heating and radiant mesh

It is a twisted cable in the form of a coil that is installed continuously in a room, so that any breaking point that occurs would affect the entire installation. In this type of system, the emitter has the diameter of a pen and it is a product that requires very high temperatures to heat the room.

Electric underfloor heating

He heating film, Unlike cable and radiant mesh, is made up of a system of independent sheets that are distributed throughout the rooms and are numbered according to the distribution plan. Each sheet is installed independently from one another, so that, in the event of a specific failure of one of these sheets, the rest of the system does not stop working.

The radiant foil has standard measurements with a width of 550 cm (or 445 cm, depending on the installation), with a length according to needs, it is a heating system that works at low temperaturesto. The advantages of operating at a low temperature compared to the cable or the radiant mesh are, on the one hand, that it is a system of low consumption and on the other, that it can be used with laminated wooden floors since it emits a soft heat that does not affect the wood at all. For this reason, most of the laminate floors that are currently on the market are suitable for the installation of the radiant foil heating system.

100-year functional guarantee: a fail-safe system

Due to its composition, the radiant foil has two conductors in parallel through which the electricity is fed. The heating element consists of 8-millimeter-thick graphite rods. For safety, every 8 millimeters of heating have 3 mm neutral bands. and so on, not giving continuity between one band and another. This means that, if a point of the underfloor heating were perforated, only 8 millimeters of sheet would "die". Not only is each plate independent, but within the plate itself, each circuit is independent.

On the other hand, the radiant folio has a certified useful life by Avis Technique -certification granted by the French CSTB institute and which measures the longevity of products- of 850,000 hours of use, about 100 years.

The ideal heating for babies and children

heater problems with kids

On too many occasions, wall heaters cause contact burns in the little ones since, being placed at a low height, the little ones can easily access them and cause these injuries.

These radiators located very close to the crib produce excess heat, which can cause cooling or dehydration, even making it difficult for children to sleep.

What is not to say about the dry environment that some facilities can produce without any type of regulation or thermal control, which can affect the health of our children with respiratory and skin problems and eye irritation.

Heating recommended for babies and children

To avoid these and other added problems, the heating system by Cecather electric radiant folio offers uniform low-temperature heat over the entire surface of the room, controlled by programmable timer-thermostats WiFi to avoid thermal oscillations and maintaining a homogeneous room temperature, hardly heating the air and avoiding dryness in the environment.

We are specialists in electric underfloor heating. Soon we will provide a nursery school in the Carballo Town Hall, in A Coruña, with underfloor heating using electric underfloor heating.

Electric radiant foil in building projects

22/06/2021

How to plan a project as energy efficient as possible.

One of our latest collaborations: residential building in Gijón
(Promotions and Construction Alonso e Hijos SA + Architecture studio Álvaro Ron Arquitectos)

1. Choosing radiant foil heating

To heat the building, the system of radiant heating by electric folio “Cecather®”. Due to its efficiency, energy consumption is significantly reduced, allowing the temperature of each environment to be controlled independently according to needs. In addition, since there is no combustion, it is clean, safe and ecological. Another point to take into account among its advantages is the issue of the space it leaves free, since the panels are integrated into the floor, without heaters or radiators in sight.

On the other hand, any heating installation that is efficient must incorporate regulation and control to maintain ideal thermal conditions in air-conditioned areas, adjusting, at the same time, energy consumption to variations in thermal demand, as well as stopping the service when be necessary. The system “Cecather®” incorporates units of programmable timer-thermostats offering the possibility of turn the system on or off via Wi-Fi by independent zones, and can be activated from the place where the user is.

2. Choosing aerothermal pump centralized for ACS.

The aerothermal pump system is the combination of a heat pump and an accumulator that uses the heat from the air as a renewable source for the sole purpose of providing high comfort while reducing CO2 emissions is to extract thermal energy from the air that surrounds us. to use it effectively in the installations of DHW production. It is, therefore, a solution of great efficiency and performance. It is a renewable energy, included as such in the CTE (Technical Building Code). It is sustainable, and is classified as such by the European Union.

3. Choosing heat recovery.

The houses will have a system of heat recuperators which makes it possible to take advantage of a large part of the energy contained in the extract air, transferring it to the inlet air. In this way, it is possible to recover a very high percentage of the energy used for the air conditioning of the premises that would otherwise be wasted.

The air is introduced through the supply duct network to the bedrooms and dining room (in this way there will be two duct networks, one for air supply and the other for extraction). Air preheating occurs in the static heat exchanger located in the ventilation unit.

4. Choosing the photovoltaic system for self-consumption

Self-consumption is a generation scheme based on electricity production at the point of consumption. From a practical point of view, self-consumption allows users to control electricity production, consumption and significant savings.

The building will have panels photovoltaic for self-consumption, located on the roof, consisting of 30 400Wp photovoltaic modules distributed in two groups, with a resulting power of 12.00 kWp.

The use of this combination of thermal equipment, combined with constructive solutions (insulation on façades using the SATE System and roofs, suppression of thermal breaks, windows and special glass) has enabled the goal of high building efficiency to be achieved, reducing almost one 75% less heating than other conventional buildings of recent construction. But they will also get a reduction of CO2 emissions minimizing final energy consumption, thus achieving ten low energy homes.

The ideal heating for fitness room, yoga and pilates

07/04/2021

Enhance your yoga or pilates room with underfloor heating:

  • with hardly any works
  • healthy heating
  • even heat
  • Directly heat people
  • Compatible with all types of floors
  • DOES NOT dirty
  • does not make noise
  • DOES NOT dry out the air
  • It does NOT need radiators, or boiler

A space with thermal fluctuations and air currents can be synonymous with customer casualties.

Underfloor heating is the heating recommended by the WHO

There are two types of heating: convection emanating from radiators and underfloor heating. Convection heating is not recommended as it is not a uniform heat and raises particles and bacteria into the air that can cause discomfort in people with asthma, for example.

underfloor heating offers a much more comfortable indoor climate. It heats the interior walls and the objects that are inside the room, as well as the people. For this reason it consumes little energy since the air is not heated, but the objects in a room. It does not dirty, it does not make noise, it does not dry out the air and it is a clean and invisible installation that does not condition your space.

The feeling of stepping on a warm floor in the middle of winter is priceless and is the best incentive for your client to repeat their experience in your room.

The radiant foil: efficient heating without works or maintenance

Underfloor heating using electric foil allows you to provide your space with heating with hardly any works in a very short time. It is compatible with all types of floors and is easily placed under the pavement. If you already have laminated flooring installed, for example, it would only be to lift it up, place the radiant sheets below and replace the laminate flooring on top. On the other hand, you would save the cost of radiators and boiler, as well as any maintenance.

If you want to receive more information about radiant heating, or simply that we give you a budget for your yoga or pilates center. Contact us without obligation! We install and distribute throughout Spain!
